I am a qualified BHS groom with over 10years experience. I have worked on numerous yards and looked after many different types of horse from 11hh riding school ponies to 18hh hunters and everything in between, from stallions and broodmares to foals and cart horses.
I am now offering a freelance service to horse owners in Rochdale and the surrounding areas as a groom or providing a backing and schooling service. So whether you want some one to help back your youngster to give it the best possible start, whatever you want them to achieve, or if you just want a hand with the chores so you can enjoy more time spent with your horse, feel free to contact me.
I have recently started my own youngster to harness (pictured his first time in the cart) and a Welsh stallion under saddle as well as others. No horse is rushed, if they need to go over a past lesson again, I take them back a step until they are happy. Using this i find even after a break they remember the lessons taught and have a much firmer grip on what is being asked of them, meaning a happier, more relaxed horse who wants to work for you. |
